Inspiration and Mood board

My inspiration for my game are some of my favourite 2d games. Castle Crashes is my favourite action combat system game. It has a very responsive system and the game. Castle Crashes ha great character visual style and it something I love. In Crashlands it has great rpg element which is the same as terraria which also has great sandbox mechanic.
My goal is to build a melee combat system. To create a boss, and a great styled character.
Also to build a traversal system that allows for vertical exploration. Which is something you don't have in Castle Crashers. But exploration is big in Terraria.
I ultimate goal of the game is to have multi level structure, shops ,loot and skills leveling up.
This is the Character Concept Design

In this I am trying to design a character and its style. This character is a female disguised as a man so she isn't the tallest or broadest but I want to add mechanical armour features that make her look more like a knight by being broad this is to help her disguise herself . But this is the start as now she has to prove she's quick and strong otherwise she will never be a knight or will this be the way she wants to become a knight these are the moral dilemmas that this character would face over her development of embracing who she is and eventually showing the world what she can do, so she can become a knight.
I used blue to create a calm innocent character to make her an obvious good character. But in the future this prespective could change due to some choice which would mean I could delve into changing the character primary colour from blue to red to symbolise their morality to create a game in which the character could become evil or misguided.
